The No. 1 seed Dallas Stars will try to even their series on Monday night against the NHL defending champion Vegas Golden Knights, the No. 8 seed.
They’ll drop the puck at 9:30 p.m. EDT, with the game airing on ESPN and live streaming on ESPN+, fubo TV (FREE trial), Sling TV (discount) and DirecTV Stream (introductory discount).

Vegas (45-29-8, fourth in the Pacific Division) won the first two games on the road, 4-3 and 3-1, but Dallas (52-21-9, first in the Central Division) responded with a critical win in Game 3.
Wyatt Johnston scored his second goal of the game in overtime to give the Stars a 3-2 victory over the Golden Knights on Saturday night. Johnston, who had a team-high eight shots, dragged the puck down the left side to the goal line, drawing goalie Logan Thompson into a low position, and beating him with a high shot 16:23 into the extra period.
Miro Heiskanen also scored for the Stars, and Jake Oettinger made 32 saves. The Stars had lost six straight against Vegas, which was hosting its first home playoff game since winning the Stanley Cup last June.

“It’s not just winning, it’s as important how you win,” Stars coach Pete DeBoer told The Associated Press. “I think we were building toward that game [in[ parts of Game 1, larger parts of Game 2. I thought we got a complete effort. Obviously, they were off a little bit and that helped. You know they’re going to fix that, but I think we’re getting an idea of how we have to play in this series in order to have success.”
Both coaches gave their players a break on Sunday. The Stars didn’t practice and the Knights had a sparsely attended optional workout.
DeBoer said he expected Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy to make adjustments for Game 4, but Dallas’ victory was as much about emotion as it was strategy. The Stars, knowing what was at stake, came out flying.
“We knew that was a must-win,” DeBoer told the AP. “I think we have the same desperation level. I think when you play a game like that, you feel this is a new series now.”

Brayden McNabb and Jack Eichel scored for Vegas, and Thompson stopped a career-high 43 shots. Dallas, which averaged 31.5 shots per game during the regular season, held a wide advantage of high-danger shots, 27-4.
Said Cassidy: “At some point, you have to get to your game. It just took us too long. Now having said that, we weathered it because of Logan. He gave us every chance to get back in the game and we did. So once it was 2-2, then it was a little different. But they executed better than we did. You could see it in overtime. They had more jump, more urgency.”
